Aditya Birla Sun Life Launches Two Retail Funds From GIFT City
Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC opens an IFSC subsidiary in Gujarat to offer retail fund-of-funds products to international investors.
Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. has established a wholly owned subsidiary at India's International Financial Services Centre in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, known as GIFT City, marking a significant step in the Mumbai-based asset manager's push to serve global retail investors through a regulated offshore hub.

GIFT City's IFSC framework allows foreign-currency transactions and operates under a distinct regulatory environment designed to attract global financial institutions to India.

The fund-of-funds structure allows the new entity to invest across underlying schemes, potentially broadening diversification for end investors while keeping distribution complexity manageable within the IFSC's regulatory perimeter. Industry observers note that retail-focused products from GIFT City remain relatively rare, giving Aditya Birla Sun Life an early-mover advantage in that segment.
