CME Group Corn Futures Hit Record 1.2M Contracts in Single Day
CME Group's corn futures set an all-time daily volume record of 1,206,376 contracts on Oct. 9, topping a mark that had stood since 2019.
CME Group announced Monday that its corn futures market shattered a seven-year-old daily volume record on October 9, 2026, with 1,206,376 contracts changing hands at the world's leading derivatives marketplace.

The surge came after the U.S. Department of Agriculture raised its outlook for corn, prompting a broad wave of hedging and speculative activity across agricultural markets.
