Insurify Joins Effort to Set AI Insurance Shopping Standards
Insurify is helping develop the Personal Agent Protocol, or Poppy, to establish AI standards for consumer consent and coverage transparency.
Insurify, an online insurance marketplace based in Cambridge, Mass., announced it is joining a coalition of technology leaders to help develop standards governing artificial intelligence in insurance shopping, the company said Thursday.
The initiative centers on a proposed framework called the Personal Agent Protocol, referred to as Poppy. The protocol is intended to address key issues in AI-driven insurance transactions, including shopper consent, coverage transparency, and protections for insurance carriers.

The move reflects growing industry momentum to impose structured guidelines on AI agents as they become more deeply embedded in financial services and consumer transactions.
