Trade Nation Acquires FXCM UK Client Base From Stratos Markets
FCA-regulated broker Trade Nation will absorb UK customers of Stratos Markets Limited, the firm behind the FXCM and Tradu brands in Britain.
Trade Nation, a spread betting and contracts-for-difference broker regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, has reached an agreement to acquire the British client base of Stratos Markets Limited, the entity that operates in the United Kingdom under the FXCM and Tradu brand names, the company announced October 7, 2026.
The deal transfers existing UK retail trading accounts from Stratos Markets to Trade Nation, consolidating two FCA-regulated operations under a single platform. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.

Trade Nation positions itself as a specialist in spread betting and CFD products, instruments that allow retail investors to speculate on price movements of equities, currencies, and commodities without owning the underlying assets. The acquisition expands its registered customer pool by absorbing an established book of active UK traders previously served by FXCM.
FXCM has long been a recognized name in retail foreign exchange and CFD trading globally, operating through various regional subsidiaries. Its UK operations, conducted through Stratos Markets Limited under the Tradu banner in recent years, represented a meaningful segment of the British retail trading market.
