Aberdeen MMT Fund to Execute 1-for-4 Reverse Stock Split Nov. 9
Aberdeen Multi-Market Income Fund's board approved a reverse split effective before markets open Nov. 9, 2026, consolidating shares at a 1-for-4 ratio.
The Board of Trustees of Aberdeen Multi-Market Income Fund (NYSE: MMT) has approved a 1-for-4 reverse stock split of the fund's issued and outstanding common shares, set to take effect before the opening of trading on November 9, 2026, the Philadelphia-based fund announced Thursday.
In a reverse stock split, the total number of a company's or fund's outstanding shares is reduced by a fixed ratio — in this case, four existing shares will be consolidated into one new share. While the number of shares held by each investor decreases, the proportional ownership stake in the fund remains unchanged.

Such corporate actions are typically undertaken to raise a security's per-share price, which can help a fund maintain compliance with exchange listing requirements or improve its market profile among institutional investors. Aberdeen has not publicly cited a specific rationale beyond the board's approval in the announcement.
The effective date means shareholders holding MMT shares as of the close of business prior to November 9, 2026, will see their positions automatically adjusted by their brokerages to reflect the new share count and corresponding per-share price. No action is generally required from retail shareholders in such transactions.
